What Are The 10 Best Tricks That Every Android User Should Know?
Today's world is revolving around technology and every day the bars are changing. Everything from a small pin to the jet engines is the gift of technology. Technology has made human life so beautiful. Except for some cases, that can affect our life and values, technology is the pioneer for us. No one can deny that because it's fact otherwise, we would live in the stone age today.
The computer and mobile are also valuable gifts from the technology. Though technological aspects are changing at every next day, mobile or e-gadgets is our weak point, isn't it?
Furthermore, the changes in technology, especially in mobiles, made human life so easy. Before few years, mobiles had the only facility of calling but now mobile is taking care of the most of our personal and professional tasks as a personal assistant. Right from the instant messaging for communicating with the community and the world to secure money transfer between two poles of earth that all is possible with one touch (touch replaces the click). And more than that TV and air conditioner can be controlled remotely with the help of the smartphone.
10 years ago, the world was not expecting such things, because of only some feature phones and iPhone (said to be a phone of elite people) that was launched on June 29, 2007, were booming the mobile market. But on September 23,2008 when the Google launched the first release of android and all the terms of smartness and technology changed over a night.
From that day till today, it is improvised to variety of aspects and getting more convenient and better to use. One important thing about the android is that it hasn't remained as the limited edition and to the specific group of people. Thanks to Google to provide the access to all people for meeting the better standard of living.
From all above you have known, what is the importance of technology and the smartphones in human life? I know that you are reading me means you either have the android smartphone or you are interested in buying the one.
Android operating system from the release to its latest version Nougat has improvised dramatically and includes a variety of functions and accessibilities.
The versions of the Android are given below in a table for reference.
# 1. Capturing screen:
When you are reading some work related file on your smartphone especially on web and you don't have time to note down the important points then you can make screenshot of that particular webpage. It will be saved in any image format and you can access it later very easily. It's very helpful for student and the people who want to get some information from various sources and use by making combination of all.
Generally, specific buttons are allotted for this purpose (Vol. Down + Power in most of the smartphones and Home + Power in the Samsung Galaxy smartphones). Even some mobiles Like Vivo Y51L can take long screenshot of entire page where rest of the smartphones fail.
Even some apps can record your entire screen, if you want to make screen videos ( for gamers or people who make video tutorials on mobile) and save/ share them. There are plenty of screen recorder apps on Google Play Store.
# 2. Battery tips:
Every android user want to know how to boost the battery life of the smartphone. I have a article and you can refer this and I am sure it will help you a lot.
More than that if you want to charge your smartphone very fast than the regular then use the charger that has more power rating. (Some issues you may have to face; you can try this trick sometime when you would in hurry, not often and I recommend to use genuine product and accessories only).
If you are not going to deal with your smartphone while it's charging simply push it on the Flight mode or switch it off. One more important thing is don't use mobile while charging, it heats up rapidly and this can lead to decrease overall performance after few days, so always remember, no play while it's on charging.
# 3. Adding/ removing the accounts:
You can add so many accounts to your android smartphone or remove them. Go to the Settings > Accounts > Add account for adding new email or social media account. You can also remove one or more account from there. It is very helpful if you have multiple and separate accounts for personal and professional use.
# 4. Using phones different modes accordingly:
Like the flight mode android smartphones have different app modes like power saving mode, blocking mode or private mode. Every mode has its different functions and it may vary with brand and their models.
1) Flight mode allows you to turn off calling, messaging and network data. It also turns off the WiFi and Bluetooth functions. To enable them you have to go to settings or you can easily access through the drop down screen menus.
2) Power saving mode allows you to keep smartphone battery the long lasting. Use developer's power saving mode instead of using battery saver apps.
3) Blocking mode allows you to turn off notifications for selected functions. Suppose, if incoming calls are blocked then you only get the notifications of incoming calls from the people on your allowed list. (you can find incoming call block in 'Contacts' menu too.)
# 5. Storage functions:
Android mobiles have three types of storage: the internal memory (Generally specified as the ROM, some of it is used for OS and app installation purpose), the external memory, if expandable storage is allowed via memory card (or you can use OTG i.e. On The Go functions with pen drive or flash drive for external data saving) and web storage.
Always keep in mind, filling the internal (external too) memory to the bank will hang your smartphone sometimes. It's found in low and medium level smartphones very often. Because even you would eat full to limit, then you couldn't perform to your best or with max. efficiency, same happens for the mobiles. So don't save useless data to your mobile.
Instead of that use secure web storage like cloud or google drive ( Google contacts and Photos are both nice apps, check for them) or if you can afford then by two-in-one flash drive. It would be better option according to privacy, security and accessibility (as web storage will need internet while accessing media/ files).
# 6. Developers options:
Go to the Settings > About device and tap the build number for 5-6 times in quick succession. It will enable the developers option and you can get access to various vital processes and use your mobile for better performance. Some of them are taking bug report, USB debugging, monitoring mobile process, hardware acceleration and many more. Developer options also change with brands and their models.
# 7. WPS push button:
If you are using the Wi-Fi for your internet access then this trick you must know. Every Wi-Fi router has one push button on its back end called as WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) push button. And it helps you to access internet via that router without password even strong password has set up.
It's not hacking trick and use it for genuine purpose only. For using this function press WPS button on the back side of your router and then in smartphone go to the Settings > Wi-Fi and from Wi-Fi menu select WPS push button option. It will take a few seconds and your device will connect to the internet through that router.
It helps when group of your friends visit your home and ask for Wi-Fi access. But remember it can breach your Wi-Fi security and any third person can access your router that you never want, so it's risky to use above process. Use it sometime, if and only when really require.
# 8. Setting Data usage and monitoring it:
You can set Data usage and limit it through the settings. If you have limited data pack then it's very useful to set data usage limit. You can monitor apps for data usage and if you can select better option if available.
# 9. How to manage apps at different level:
Managing apps at different level is also very important. Here are the same tips to improve your app management.
1) You may get auto updates of apps from the Google Play Store at most of the time and that generally occurs when you turn on the Wi-Fi or switch on your mobile. To get rid of that all, go to Play Store > Menu ( often located in the search box before text 'Google Play') > Settings > General and select 'Do not auto-update apps' from the Auto-update apps option.
There are several options for Play Store, select them according to your preference.
2) You can also disable preloaded apps in your mobile and it's better than mobile root process ( It's my personal opinion, you may go for root but there are chances of mobile damage for the lifetime). Go to the Settings > Apps > All apps and select any app. You can disable it or clear data, default setting and cache to boost the performance of your smartphone.
3) For security purpose, you can check for apps coming through unknown sources i.e. other than Play Store or verify them before installing. Always prefer apps from Google Play Store. Apps from other sources are free but they may harm your mobile.
4) Sometime, notification comes on screen for installing or updating apps. If you feel it's annoying then turn off notification for software update app or clear the data.
# 10. Passing over mobile security:
If you have set security lock i.e. pattern or code for unlocking phone and you forgot it then what will you do? Simply unlock by gmail account used for that smartphone.
Or even if you forgot all then press Vol. Down+ Power + Home buttons simultaneously and you can access you phone by doing factory reset. Use Volume buttons for navigation purpose at that time and power to select as input.
If your data is very important then it's better to get help from the expert in this field, don't try yourself as data is very important.
