13 Ways To Become The Mac'Gyver Of Buying A New Mobile

Mobile is becoming essential gadget nowadays for almost every human on the Earth planet. It is the faster way to communicate with friends, family, relatives and official people around. It's not the just gadget but also the status symbol and for that reason, people have crazy about mobiles. Mobiles fall in different categories like the feature phone, smartphones and Future phones (having next generation technologies).

Each of them serves the specific purpose according to functions and technologies incorporated with it. People always want the better mobile phone at reasonable price tag. So before purchasing a mobile, you must read this and then you will be able to pick right gadget for you.

1) Build and Look:

When you want to buy a mobile the first thing which will attract you is to build and look of that particular mobile. Some people want robust and sturdy while other want stylish and good looking phone. It depends on upon dimensions, weight, colors, design, and material etc.

Most of the people prefer the strong & stylish phone. The important thing is mobile must be easy to use, so always remember that all these factors mentioned above have the impact on your mobile use. E.g. metal or alloy body is more strong than plastic or acrylic one. The heating issue of mobile should be taken into account.

2) Processor:

The processor or SoC (System on Chip) is the brain of the device and it provides the computing power to churn through various tasks, like opening and running a variety of applications and games.
Processor speed has the impact on overall performance of phones. It is generally measured as clock speed in GHz (gigahertz). Apart from this number of cores and core technology is mostly studied for multitasking performance and battery optimization. In processor department, Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek, HiSilicon, Samsung Exynos and Intel are main brands. You have to choose according to your preference.

3) Camera:

Everybody wants to capture and save the memories of life in digital format to carry them along with life. Some moments can't be repeated so the good shooter is required for the mobile phone. I have seen VGA to the Dual camera in mobiles. In future 3D camera, the module will be used. The camera has basically two types rear shooter and selfie shooter (front camera).
We only look for higher resolution camera( MegaPixels) but for the camera, different technologies are present like HDR, Panorama, OIS, Wide angle settings, Shutter speed, ISO i.e. the sensitivity of camera sensor, different modes, and aperture (F). Series of optical lenses are used to take beautiful and crisp pictures. Major brands always invest for the camera as the priority. Sony, Apple, Samsung etc. companies have good cameras on their mobile phones.

4) RAM & Storage:

RAM is Random Access Memory and it is useful again to run the device smoothly. It may be of DDR2, DDR3, DDR4 and LPDDR4 type. Nowadays devices have 512 MB to 6GB memory options as per models. In future, it may increase far more according to use and design of that mobile device.

In storage, internal and external are two options mainly available. Apart from that Google Storage, Cloud Storage and different Web Storage options are available. Currently 4GB to 128GB storage for internal and up to 2TB external storage options are available in the market.

5) Display:

The display is one more major hardware in the mobile phone. It serves as both input and output of data. Though old mobiles have keypad below display but now most of the smartphones have on screen keyboard for instant typing. Feature phones have basic and cheap non-touch type display and most of the mobiles have the touch-screen display. It may be standard, qHD, HD, FHD, QHD, and UHD resolution display. Again has several types of technologies like TFT, LCD, IPS, OLED, AMOLED, Super AMOLED as well as 3D touch or pressure sensitive display, anti-glare display. Apple has Retina display technology and the 2.5D display is also trending today.

In display section, another important thing is screen protection and for that tempered glass screen guard is used. Before that conventional plastic screen cover was famous. Providing Gorilla glass ( versions 2/3/4/5) or Dragontrail glass for the mobile screen is the marketing strategy of many companies but it is quite bit essential. The OGS i.e. One Glass Solution is also used in the display to reduce thickness. If you are going to watch ultra-HD movies or play graphics intensive games then surely go for better display option.
Some brands have dust-proof and waterproof display feature for their slightly expensive mobiles. For assuring this feature check it by visiting manufacture's site or retail showroom.

6) GPU:

The GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a specialized circuit designed to accelerate the image output in a frame buffer intended for output to a display. GPUs are very efficient at manipulating computer graphics and are generally more effective than general-purpose CPUs for algorithms where processing of large blocks of data is done in parallel.
GPU push any graphics intensive application like any heavy game, video editing & playing tool beyond limits. Qualcomm Adreno, PowerVR, ARM Mali, NVIDIA Tegra and FUSION are famous brands in mobile GPU.

7) Battery:

The battery provides required energy to operate mobile. Without the battery, you can't think about any mobile gadget today. Mobile batteries are of removable and non-removable types. Removable one is easy to change and the spare battery can be used while traveling to distant places but non-removable battery makes mobile slim with fewer parts and it doesn't let dust or humidity to it as it can't be removed.
For mobiles, Li-ion and Li-Polymer batteries are used, in which Li-Polymer batteries have better charge density. Battery capacity is generally measured in the 'mAh' (milliampere-hour) unit and explained as if a battery is quoted as having a capacity of 3000mAh, it could theoretically provide 3000 mA for one hour, 300 mA for 10 hours and so on.

8) Operating System:

Operating system (OS) is the platform on which applications run. Old Nokia mobiles were operating on Symbian OS but nowadays Android, Windows, and Apple's iOS are much popular in the market due to the easier user interface, the variety of applications and features.
Apart from these ColorOS, CyanogenOS, EMUI, MIUI, Nokia X platform, OxygenOS, ZenUI, Tizen, BlackBerryOS, Firefox OS and Sailfish OS are the examples of operating System. Most of them updated after specific intervals of time and new versions are launched to meet user's requirement. E.g. Android Marshmallow to Android Nougat.

9) Connectivity:

Mobiles have various connectivity options right from Bluetooth to NFC. These connectivity options require special hardware for them like Bluetooth adapter & WiFi adapter mounted on mobile's motherboard. Some mobiles have advanced connectivity options like high-speed Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, OTG or USB media transfer, NFC and HDMI along with mobile internet based on CDMA & GSM modes i.e. 2G/3G/4G LTE and latest VoLTE ( Voice over LTE networks).

10) Advanced Features & Technologies:

Being Smart and using the latest technology in the daily routine it is essential to use mobiles or gadgets equipped with the future-proof technology. Nowadays mobiles especially smartphones have advanced features like Quick Charge technology, Different sensors (i.e. Heart-Beat sensor, Temperature sensor, Pressure sensor and Gyro sensor etc.), mobile projector, Cloud, Real-time GPS Navigation, fingerprint sensor or Bio-Metrics or advanced 128-bit encryption for security. In near future, Retina Scan will be available for smartphones.

11) Accessories:

With every mobile, some accessories are provided by the mobile manufacturer or seller. These are mainly the mobile charger, USB or OTG cable, Earphones or Headphones, screen protector and extra back panels in addition to Quick Start Manual and Warranty card. Some brands are selling Gears or Smartwatches with mobile phones. It may be sold separately for elite users having the latest features like the smartphone.

12) Support:

Before purchasing any mobile or E-gadget check whether after sales service is available or not and what is the quality of service. Always check terms and conditions of seller and manufacturer before buying otherwise you have to deprecate later. Especially while purchasing mobiles through the online app or from E-commerce sites be more careful.

13) Price Tag:

Very important among all points price that you are paying for the mobile phone or E-gadget is your hard earned money. So search and choose best-suited stuff for you. It will take time but you will be able to get the nice product for you. Take reviews from friends or from the web, if you have selected a mobile for you and then buy from reputed store or e-commerce site. The World is ready to come in your palm.
